Residents with unstable medical conditions, unmanageable behaviors, and residents with skilled care needs
Residents on sliding scale insulin.
Residents with IV, tube feedings, in-home dialysis, tracheostomy, and dietary needs that require dietician management
Transfers that require Hoyer Lift/ total dependent lift and dependent bed mobility
Reasons a resident would be transferred from Borg?
Medical reasons
For the welfare of the resident or that of other residents
Nonpayment of one’s rent or fees
Temporary transfer during times of remodeling
What is included in the monthly rate at Borg?
Residents pay one all-inclusive rate. This means that meals, nursing services, activities, housekeeping. laundry, and most everyday needs are all included in one flat charge
How is the monthly rate determined at Borg?
The State of ND sets the rate for Basic Care Medicaid recipients based on an annual “cost report,” which shows the actual cost of providing care at each facility. The State of ND notifies each basic care facility of their adjusted rate that is effective July 1st annually. Private pay rates can be set higher than the Medicaid rate, and in many facilities they are higher. Borg has always kept things fair by charging the same rate for both private pay and Medicaid
Are there additional expenses at Borg?
Resident are responsible for the cost of their prescription and non-prescription medications that are not covered by their prescription drug plan. Residents have the right to choose the pharmacy from which they receive their medications.
Residents are responsible for the cost of any urinary incontinence products. For residents on Medicaid, the cost of urinary incontinence products are generally a covered cost and Borg will assist in procurement and filing necessary paper work.
Medical specialty Items such as Foley catheters, dietary supplement drinks, specialty dressings, lymphedema wraps, and specialty equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers are the responsibility of the resident. Borg will assist with procurement
