In addition to basic care, Borg also offers Respite Care for short-term stays, Adult Daycare for daytime supervision and engagement, and access to Hospice Services to ensure compassionate end-of-life care. Respite Care at Borg provides a short-term stay—whether for a few days or a couple of weeks—so caregivers can take a needed break or families can rest assured their loved one is safe during recovery after an illness or surgery.
During their stay, respite guests receive the same attentive care, meals, and activities as our long-term residents. With the support of our Affordable Relief Program, eligible families can even receive financial assistance to make respite stays more affordable.
Adult Day Care
Our Adult Daycare program offers a safe, engaging, and caring place for adults who live at home but need daytime support.
Whether for a few hours or the whole day, participants enjoy nutritious meals, activities, companionship, and help with personal needs. Families gain peace of mind knowing their loved one is in good hands while they attend to work, appointments, or simply take time to recharge. It’s care you can count on—close to home.

Helping Caregivers and Individuals Recover with Dignity
For more than 75 years, Borg Pioneer Memorial Home in Mountain, ND, has been a trusted place of compassion and care. Continuing that mission, Borg Home has introduced a new Affordable Relief Program to support families and caregivers across the region.
The program makes short-term stays such as respite care and adult daycare more affordable by using charitable gaming funds donated by John and Paula Langerud, owners of the Spud Bar in Crystal, ND. Their generosity helps caregivers take much-needed breaks and gives individuals recovering from illness, surgery, or injury a safe place to rest and regain strength.

Reduced Rates Include:
Respite Care (overnight stay): $70.54 per day. Available for up to 10 consecutive days at a time, 20 days per year
Adult Daycare (day-only stay): $35.27 per day. Available for up to 10 consecutive days at a time, 20 days per year
Each includes meals, personal care, and social activities in a supportive environment.
Hospice & End-of-Life Care at Borg Home
At Borg Pioneer Memorial Home, we are honored to provide compassionate support to residents and families during life’s final stages. When a resident chooses hospice, Borg Home partners closely with Hearts in Action and other hospice providers to ensure comfort, dignity, and peace.
Our team works in full coordination with hospice nurses, social workers, and the resident’s physician to carry out an individualized plan of care that focuses on pain relief, emotional support, and spiritual well-being. Borg staff continue to provide daily care, medication administration, meals, and personal support, while the hospice team oversees end-of-life symptom management and specialized services.
Together, Borg Home and Hearts in Action hospice staff ensure that residents and families receive understanding, comfort, and compassionate attention—helping each person experience a meaningful and peaceful transition surrounded by care and love.
